Writing center meeting

I went to the writing center on Thursday. To be honest, I did not want to go there. I thought it would be awkward to talk to an older student that i did not know. Surprisingly, it was actually very comfortable and helpful. I completed things that i needed help in and wouldn't have been able to do without outside help.
We worked on my introduction and conclusion. My partner helped me extend my introduction to a larger paragraph. He improved my work choice and made it flow more smoothly. We only had twenty five minutes, so I had to use what he taught me about the introduction on the conclusion. I am more confident with my essay after going to the writing center.

I agree. You definitely should get overwatch.
I hate when waitresses do that. I would join cross country to do that, but I would have to run.

Why we shouldn't have homework right before exams

I am glad that there is a free post this week because I would like to state my beliefs about teachers assigning huge projects the week before final exams. This hasn't happened in this English class, but two of my teachers have assigned projects the week before finals. I do not believe that this is fair. We should have one or two weeks without homework so we can prepare for exams.

Instead of letting us prepare for our first high school exams, some teachers assign extra homework. They have decided to cram all the work in that is possible. Assigning extra homework and projects not only indirectly drops some of our exam grades in that class, but also poorly affects our ability to study for other classes. It should not be allowed to give any work outside of school until the third quarter. I am not meaning to complain, but teachers assigning more work right before exams will hurt my education and my future.

Literary Analysis Progress

The hardest part of the literary analysis process was coming up with something to argue about. It's very hard to just think of a topic to argue about and start stating your beliefs. Another hard part was making my argument into more than three pages. I couldn't think of much to say, so it was hard to keep on writing when I ran out of points to make. It was very easy to make my conclusion though because I had already stated everything I wanted to say and just had to close my argument.

I have only used my book as a recourse because I didn't think it was a good idea to risk not having the proper citations. I also didn't feel like there was a good source besides the book that I could find. If I could give advice to people still writing their paper it would be to make many points to prove your thesis. Then, you should be able to write three or more pages very easily. I would also recommend running your paper through grammarly. It helps edit your paper and prevents you from having to proofread it many times.
